The vacuum can map your interior. This can then be viewed on the app and can enable other features such as selecting a specific room for cleaning.
Using the map feature in the app, you can mark out specific areas of your home for the vacuum to avoid during its cleaning routine.
This technology allows the users to use their smartphone as a remote control for the device.
The device sees an approaching obstacle, e.g. furniture or a vase, and slows down to prevent itself from bumping in it.
Using the map feature in the app, you can mark out a section that needs extra attention. It’s useful when there are certain areas of your home that regularly require extra cleaning, or if you happen to spill something.
The vacuum automatically empties dust into a larger dustbin located in the charging station. These usually collect dust for a period of 30 days or more, meaning you have to empty the dustbin far less often.
Robotic vacuums with this feature can automatically detect carpets and boost the suction accordingly. It also allows mopping devices to avoid carpeted areas.
The device has a design which allows it to move without getting stuck on power cords and other stray objects.
This feature allows you to mark off areas of the home that you want the vacuum to avoid. It is usually achieved with an infra-red accessory or a special tape.

I bought the vacuum cleaner from mi.com/de/store where it is on sale. The robot vacuum cleaner arrives in a fairly large, sturdy box. Unpacking and connecting is quite easy. It feels like you just have to connect a plug, fill the water tank, insert the mop (it works magnetically) and put the device on. Now open the Xiaomi app, find it in the app store under Xiaomi Home with a turquoise symbol, and press the small plus at the top right. The vacuum cleaner was found straight away and setting up the WiFi was also very easy. After everything was set up and set up, I had the device cleaned again just to be on the safe side. It's amazing how much technology is packed into this little one. He really recognizes a lot of obstacles and even picks up the wet mops when he hits the carpet. I find it funny to see how he leaves wet, clean tracks behind him. It scrubs really hard and was even able to remove one or two coffee stains without you having to do it yourself. The suction power is also very impressive and completely sufficient. I like to use turbo or strong mode on the carpet and have set it accordingly in the app. I always have the bathroom cleaned twice because hair often collects there. The thing wipes, vacuums and cleans itself and really saves us a lot of work. The station does a good job and is relatively quiet in most cases. The mopping pads are cleaned before each start and then either after a cleaning has been completed or after cleaning 20 square meters of living space. This makes noise for a minute because the device is already cranking up to get the mop pads clean. The dust is vacuumed after cleaning is completed and is for 10 seconds almost so loudly like a jet taking off. But it's so relaxing not having to do anything yourself anymore. In the best case scenario, you let the robot do its work when you're not at home and then you don't notice anything.
