The connectivity type of the headphones.
Bluetooth is a wireless technology standard that allows data transfers between devices placed in close proximity, using short-wavelength, ultra-high frequency radio waves. Newer versions provide faster data transfers.
aptx Adaptive is an audio codec for Bluetooth devices that is developed by Qualcomm. It has a variable bit rate (between 279kbps and 420kbps), which means it can adjust the bit rate for different scenarios, such as listening to HD audio or reducing interference from other devices.
aptX is a codec used for transmitting audio wirelessly with Bluetooth. It is developed by Qualcomm, and supports 16-bit audio at a bit rate of 384kbps.
LDAC is a codec developed by Sony for Bluetooth audio. It is capable of a very high bitrate of 990kbps, which provides high resolution audio. It can also automatically adjust to a lower bitrate of 330kbps or 660kbps to increase stability.
aptX Low Latency is a codec developed by Qualcomm. It uses Bluetooth 5.0 technology to provide low latency audio (around 40ms), which is useful when you want to avoid audio lag (e.g. when playing games).
aptX HD is an audio codec for Bluetooth devices that is developed by Qualcomm. It supports high quality 24-bit audio (at a bit rate of 576kbps).
aptX Lossless is an audio codec for Bluetooth devices that is developed by Qualcomm. It supports high quality 16-bit/44.1kHz audio (at a maximum bit rate of 1200kbps). This codec provides CD-quality audio without any loss of data.
AAC is a codec that is used for Bluetooth audio. It supports 24-bit audio at 250kbps. Because it uses psychoacoustic modeling, it can provide better results than other codecs at a similar bit rate.

The sound is just incredible, from the lows to the highs, it's all natural and wonderful. The luxurious feel really satisfies the desire to own. The noise canceling is not strong, but it's natural. It's a headphone filled with nothing but the best.

I have had these for just over a month and they have exceeded expectations and they were already fairly high. I am coming from using the Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra and before that was the Bose 45 so for reference I will compare mostly to these models. I haven't had Sony since the MX4 so I can't comment on that model, but the Px7-s2e blows the MX4 away. I really liked the QC 45 and Ultra for their head and ear comfort. Sound was good but not great same with bass. ANC was absolutely fantastic on both. now onto B&W's Build Quality First off the build quality is top notch plus some. They are fairly heavy but not in a bad way at all. When I am spending $400 I do not want plastic flimsy feeling. These just feel solid and well made. Sound Okay now this is where my expectations were the highest compared to what I am used to and OMG was I happy. They are just another playing field all together. After listening to these for a couple weeks when I first got them I tried my Bose again. They sound like caca poopoo now and I really enjoyed them before! They are so clean sounding, nothing is overpowering or obtrusive just smooth clean listening. ANC Now this is the only category that I will say my Bose excelled at compared to the Px7-s2e. If for some reason you are only buying headphones for ANC well these may not be yours. It works just fine for my needs but I could see how some may want a better solution. I knew this buying this though as this is a very common "complaint" I have read in reviews. And usually not complaints just pretty much what I said it works well enough for almost everything and everyone. Battery Battery is the best I have ever had in headphones. I think the QC Ultra says 22 or 24 hours battery and I swear I never got over 18 but these on the other hand say they last up to 30 hours and mean it. I have actually tracked this 2 times to within an hour and both times ran out just after 27.5 hours. Just buy these you won't regret it
