The connectivity type of the headphones.
Bluetooth is a wireless technology standard that allows data transfers between devices placed in close proximity, using short-wavelength, ultra-high frequency radio waves. Newer versions provide faster data transfers.
aptx Adaptive is an audio codec for Bluetooth devices that is developed by Qualcomm. It has a variable bit rate (between 279kbps and 420kbps), which means it can adjust the bit rate for different scenarios, such as listening to HD audio or reducing interference from other devices.
aptX is a codec used for transmitting audio wirelessly with Bluetooth. It is developed by Qualcomm, and supports 16-bit audio at a bit rate of 384kbps.
LDAC is a codec developed by Sony for Bluetooth audio. It is capable of a very high bitrate of 990kbps, which provides high resolution audio. It can also automatically adjust to a lower bitrate of 330kbps or 660kbps to increase stability.
aptX Low Latency is a codec developed by Qualcomm. It uses Bluetooth 5.0 technology to provide low latency audio (around 40ms), which is useful when you want to avoid audio lag (e.g. when playing games).
aptX HD is an audio codec for Bluetooth devices that is developed by Qualcomm. It supports high quality 24-bit audio (at a bit rate of 576kbps).
aptX Lossless is an audio codec for Bluetooth devices that is developed by Qualcomm. It supports high quality 16-bit/44.1kHz audio (at a maximum bit rate of 1200kbps). This codec provides CD-quality audio without any loss of data.
AAC is a codec that is used for Bluetooth audio. It supports 24-bit audio at 250kbps. Because it uses psychoacoustic modeling, it can provide better results than other codecs at a similar bit rate.

Better than the Sennheiser Momentum.

I've been a big Sennheiser guy for years going way, way back to the 1990's. Yep. I have digressed over the years but always came back to my Sennheiser. I used to commute on the subway with my Walkman using my huge Sennheiser’s with an adaptor to keep the subway noise out. I looked like a tool but the headphones put me in my own world where nothing else mattered. I've also been a Technics fan but not for their headphones. So now I run an IT Department and we recently wanted to up our game on the headsets since we're a cubicle company and good quality noise-cancelling headsets are so important in that environment. Well we were able to order in a bunch of good headsets after researching them and even got some seed units for free from our vendor. Anyway, nothing was really jumping out at us so I kept Googling and read about these Technics. For Spits and Giggles, I order up a pair. And never looked back. Tremendous sound quality and isolation. Comfortable for meetings and calls that last for hours. Mini headset jack as a backup for when you run out of power during a meeting. That is the BEST FEATURE EVER! And yes, the Sennheiser’s have this as well. The Technics are better built than the Sennheiser’s. My Momentum 3's had this rubber ring on the outside of each ear piece which ripped on both sides. Really disappointing. I haven't tried the 4's so maybe I'm not being fair but the quality of these Technics has blown me away. In addition, you can choose NOT to use the touch-controls. That's HUGE for me. I can't tell you how many times I've adjusted other headsets with touch controls or fixed my hair only to have them cut out and do something funky because I accidently touched something on them. Give me manual, clickable buttons every time. I know that the Technics are made more for music than calls but hey, they handle calls better than any other set. I bought a pair for home as well for when I work from home. So, at home I'm using them for my music as well and they seem better to me than my Momentum 3's. Beautiful, true, faithful sound. We've supplied these now to about 20 people at the office including my team who spend a lot of time on the phone, and I've not heard a single complaint. All those Helpdesk-recommended headsets would always generate complaints. I'm sold. Sure they're a little pricey but think about how much time you'll be wearing them and I'm sure you'll realize that they're well worth the price.
