I bought this microphone because I work with recording commercial spots for radio. When I travel for my other side profession, I always bring my portable home studio for commercial recordings, which are needed to be done every day. It's impossible to bring a professional mic that, besides being heavy, requires phantom power, support, pop-filter and so forth. I do these recordings anywhere, even in my hotel room or sometimes inside my car. I always had an issue: a good microphone that could serve this demand. I researched and bought several, but none could deliver the quality I was looking for. That was until I bought the AKG Lyra. It solved my recording quality problem. The mic is fantastic. Its amazing sound quality even eliminates the need for some plugins during processing and editing. I recommend it if you're looking for a mic to solve your problems once and for all, whether amateur or professional.

Audio interface sampling rate/frequency defines the number of samples per unit of time taken from a continuous signal to make a discrete signal. Sampling rate determines the quality of a digital recording.
Audio interface bit depth/rate describes the number of bits of information recorded for each sample. Bits represent the resolution. The more bits, the more accurate sound is reproduced.

A higher signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) means that the microphone can record a cleaner audio signal with less background noise, particularly as the volume level is raised.
Microphones that have multiple polar pattern options can be used for different scenarios. The more patterns that a microphone supports, the more versatile it is.
A cardioid polar pattern captures audio in front of the microphone and is particularly useful for situations such as recording a podcast or game streaming.
An omni polar pattern captures audio from every direction. It is particularly useful when the audio source is moving around, or if you wish to capture the audio from a wide sound source such as a group of people.
A hyper-cardioid or super-cardioid pattern is a narrower version of the cardioid pattern. It captures audio in front of the microphone at a narrow angle and is particularly useful when you wish to record a single audio source in a loud environment.

When a digital signal is converted to an analog one (for example when playing audio through speakers or headphones), a certain amount of noise is carried in the signal. A higher SNR means that there is less noise and the audio quality is better.

Impedance is the device’s electrical resistance to the current being pushed through it. The lower the impedance, the easier it is to get higher volume and requires less power.
There is a control panel on the device body, so you can easily access the volume control or remote without having to interact with a cable or another device it's connected to.
We consider a lower weight better because lighter devices are more comfortable to carry. A lower weight is also an advantage for home appliances, as it makes transportation easier, and for many other types of products.
